Loan row of flood affected areas
ABKK Kamarupa, Dispur 31 July 2026: Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma CM of The Assam government has announced a six-month moratorium on loan repayments for flood-affected borrowers in Sivasagar, Charaideo, Golaghat and Jorhat, providing financial relief to families and businesses hit by the ongoing floods. Death toll more than 70 and SDRF, NDRF etc continued to rescue operations going on in Sivasagar and Charaideo district too.
