মালদা : ফলের রাজা আম। আর আমের নাম শুনলেই মালদার কথা আসবে না, তাও হয় নাকি… আমের জন্য বিশ্বজুড়ে রয়েছে মালদার খ্যাতি। মালদার আম জিআই ট্যাগও পেয়েছে। এছাড়া রয়েছে মালদার নিস্তারি সিল্ক। গত বছর এই সিল্কের কপালেও জুটেছে জিআই ট্যাগ। এবার মালদা জেলার মুকুটে বেগুনের সুবাদে চলে এল আরও একটি জিআই ট্যাগ। আম ও সিল্কের পর এবার মালদার আশাপুরের বেগুন পেল জিআই ট্যাগ। যার ফলে খুশির হাওয়া মালদার কৃষক মহল থেরে শুরু করে জেলা প্রশাসনের সর্বত্র।
