𝟖𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫
ABKK Kamarupa, Gogamukh, Dhemaji, 15th August 2026 : The 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 (MAC) celebrated the 𝟖𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 of India with patriotic fervour and solemn remembrance at the Council Headquarters, Gogamukh under Dhemaji district on 15th August 2026 respectively.
The celebration commenced with a Homage to the Martyrs by the Chairman, Sri Sunil Kr Pegu, followed by the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Executive Member, CEM Sri Paramananda Chayengia.
As part of the celebration, the Council felicitated 12 distinguished personalities and an organisation for their outstanding achievements and contributions in various fields, recognising their excellence and bringing pride to the Mising community.

4. Mr. Sanjay Lagachu, Badati Mingmang — Recognised for Best Value-Added Agri Startup by the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Assam.
5. Mr. Bhabesh Doley, Jorhat — Recognised for the popularisation and promotion of eco-friendly agriculture through organic farming.
6. Mr. Juwel Pegu, Majuli — Awarded “Best Dairy” at the Livestock and Poultry Show–2025, organised by the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Government of Assam.
7. Bordoloni Agro Fed Producer Company Limited — Awarded Best Farmer Producer Company Limited by the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Assam.
8. Miss Nishita Doley, Jonai — Topper among Mising students in HSLC 2026.
